David G. Delker was born and raised in Auburn, NY and is a third generation funeral director. in 1991, David graduate from SUNY Canton with a degree in Mortuary Science. He worked along side his grandfather for many years in the funeral business and learned and experienced many areas of the funeral service.


Clarence C. Houk established the Houk Funeral Home in 1929, turning 30 South Street into what it is today. He and his wife Doris ran the funeral home together until 1956. It was then that Clarence merged his funeral home with Johnston Funeral Home, of Brookfield, NY, becoming Houk-Johnston Funeral Home.

William T. Johnston and is wife Wanda moved into the funeral home with their kids and ran it until 1990. Gordon and Joan Terry purchased the funeral business from the Johnston's and it become the Houk-Johnston-Terry Funeral Home. They retired in 2016 when it became the Delker and Terry Funeral Home and still reside in Edmeston
